Our Beginning
Tipsy Turtle started with a simple idea: Mancelona needed a place that could be your morning coffee shop and your Friday night hangout — all under one roof.
We took a historic building on State Street and gave it new life. The renovation kept the character of the original space while adding a full bar, a commercial kitchen, a game room, and a sidewalk patio. The result is something Mancelona hasn't had before — a place that works whether you're stopping in for a quick latte before work or settling in for a bourbon flight and a flatbread with friends.
The name "Tipsy Turtle" says it all. No rush, just relax. Take things at your own pace. Whether it's 7 AM or 7 PM, we're here to make sure you leave in a better mood than when you walked in.

Led by owner Jason, Tipsy Turtle is the product of a vision to create something Mancelona didn't have — a spot where the morning crowd and the evening crowd could both feel at home.
Jason and the team built this place from the ground up, from the renovated building to the curated drink menus to the hand-picked game room setup. Every detail was intentional.
